Week 13
Norway is at high risk of coastal erosion. Climate change has seen increasing water levels across the planet. This has hit Norway hard as the increased waves have begun to erode the wetlands and beaches. Norway has a long coastline so this is a big issue. The effects of this can include damage to transportation and infrastructure. This can have long term problems for the country as it will no longer be safe for people to live in certain areas of the country. A way to prevent further erosion is to construct seawalls. These walls can protect the shore against waves and protect homes. Sources: https://www.climatechangepost.com/norway/coastal-erosion/ https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2016EGUGA..1817729S/abstract
