When it comes to tectonic plate boundaries, Norway is located on the Eurasian Plate. It has a convergent plate boundary with the Indian plate. The plate is about 3 billion years old. Norway itself is closest to the North American Plate, which is a continental plate. Norway's location is pretty stable which means that the chance of earthquakes is low. The last major earthquake to cause damage happened in 1904.
